OMG, this latest Robert Dugoni detective and courtroom mystery was so suspenseful! I loved Keera Duggan, her dysfunctional family which has been forever altered due to her father's life long alcoholism. Keera catches a case where she represents the husband who is accused of killing his wife. I loved the way Dugoni unfolded the story through the chess game, the mysterious Mr. Worth who leads her to many people who grew up/knew the accused who is a multi-millionaire investment advisor, her father's missteps, and her ambition to show up the prosecutor. It definitely was like a game of chess with each move calculated keeping the reader on pins and needles. You never meet the murdered wife, but the title, Her Deadly Game was perfect in so many ways. Readers will enjoy wading into this juicy mystery. An awesome crime thriller!

I LOVE the Andy Carpenter series---especially the dogs! being involved in the mystery as Andy rescues a dog, Reggie, who was supposed to have died 5 years ago and then plunges into representing the dogs' owner who is in jail for murdering his girlfriend and throwing Reggie overboard during a storm at sea. Laurie, the love of his life comes for a visit since she is in law enforcement elsewhere, and his many friends, Willie & Sondra, Pete Stanton, his computer wiz friend, scary but awesome, Marcus, his newspaper friend and his friend in the FBI all jump in to help Andy who is a great lawyer but a wimp when it comes to danger kept me turning the pages. Good old Tara, Andy's golden retriever, gets along great with Reggie. Moving right along to the next book in the series, New Tricks!

Great narration by Kate Orsini , Sophie Amoss , Michael Crouch as I compulsively cobbled this mystery, thriller about a law student who has a vendetta against a man in prison and now coming up for a hearing on The Innocence Project. I loved all the narrators as they led me through this compulsive mystery; I was not really a fan of Hannah other than her gift of being able to persuade people to let her do what she wants. But the story is compelling---when Hannah was 14 she read her mother's journals and what happened to her that summer has driven Hannah's decisions to make sure this guy stays in prison---but what happens is that Hannah is confronted by her mother's lies and manipulations as she strives to have the real story (her mother's story) come out. It takes Hannah connecting with the prisoner, Shawn (her colleague) and his mother to make her realize she has been duped and how she handles this is pure Hannah once again---and hopefully she will become the better person, she knows she can and should be.

I loved this 1st book in the Andy Carpenter series, although I read the 2nd book, First Degree first in the series and my sister passed along the very first David Rosenfelt book, The 12 Dogs of Christmas and I was instantly smitten----I have to read all of Rosenfelt's books 1- they are funny, 2- they are mysteries, 3 they have dogs in them!!!, and 4 Andy Carpenter is a hoot! This first book sets up Andy's personality as a defense lawyer with his wisecracks to the reader (he loves sports, hates exercise, loves Tara, his golden retriever). Suddenly Andy's father an ex DA dies in front of him, a firestorm happens and Andy is left to pick up the pieces---number one, why did his father leave him $22 million dollars? Rosenfelt had me turning those pages- there was suspense, humor, and a deep love for dogs----I was hooked! I have been recommending this to all my friends because we love dogs and mysteries; I can't wait to read the 3rd book next, Bury the Lead!

I loved this new series by Lisa Scottoline and Bennie, Mary and all the others in the all female law firm were kick ass protagonists. Mary becomes partner in the law firm, gets engaged and takes on a new case with a 13 yr old genius hiring her, convinced Lonnie Stall has been put in prison unjustly for killing her sister. I could not put down this mystery and look forward to reading more about the Rosato & DiNunzio law firm!

I loved this 1st book in the David Sloane series, but I have to admit, I read all the books OUT of ORDER in this series but I loved every single one. This book begins the David Sloane series; he is a lawyer who wins every trial. But it also shows his backstory which is a stunner in addition to sociopath killers, political machinations, a suicide, and a 30 year old secret that was thought buried. How Dugoni weaves this heart stopping story had me turning the pages; reading it in a day (because I did not want to put it down!) and thoroughly enjoying the depth of characters in David Sloane, his secretary, Tina, Charles Jenkins and Detective Tom Molia. A must read; I urge everyone to read ALL Dugoni books; they are addicting!

I love the David Sloane series and this book kept me riveted and so scared for Jake and TJ. Dugoni sets the stage perfectly with Jake's anger issues from his mother's death and trauma from seeing her murdered. Also he is a teenager who has been drinking and doing drugs while back with his real Dad. When Jake arrives for the summer, his attitude is awful toward everyone and Sloane despairs about the summer. A chance talk with his detective friend, Tom Molia has Sloane planning a hiking and fishing trip with their sons. Despite his misgivings and warnings about Jake, they set off for Truluck, CA. What happens after is from a horror show as TJ and Jake are arrested and prosecuted without a lawyer while their fathers sleep. Worse still, the boys are sentenced to a juvenile detention camp. What happens to these boys and their fathers as they try to reunite had me turning the pages late into the night, another spine tingling thriller from the master of suspense!

Narrated by Christopher Lane, this Robert Dugoni stand alone delved into breast cancer, spousal abuse, and grief. Dugoni's mysteries always keep me turning the pages and this book did not disappoint with Dana whose twin brother is murdered, her marriage is falling apart, who just gets better and better as the book evolves. She becomes a kick ass heroine who is not afraid to find out who killed her brother. And I loved just as much, Michael Logan who is the smart detective investigating Dana's brother's murder. Logan is a good, honest detective who is able to talk Dana into being a hero without getting herself killed. I could not stop listening to this awesome audiobook!

Awesomely narrated by James Patrick Cronin, I listened to this detective thriller, lawyer mystery on Hoopla. Peter Donley was totally awesome as Father Thomas Martin's attorney. Initially Peter does not believe Father but as time, stories, and Peter's horrific past are revisited, Peter becomes Father's staunch ally as he tries to defend this priest from a heinous murder of a gay street hustler who has come to the priest's refuge. He has to fight a ruthless DA and his father who is as crooked as they come and a politician to boot and his own demons. I loved this book as I love everything Robert Dugoni writes. I could not stop reading/listening to it! For murder mystery lovers!
