Stuck-Up Suit by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

Stuck-Up SuitStuck-Up Suit by Vi Keeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved the whole story about Soraya and Graham! Both characters were strong-willed, with things in their past that traumatized them. Will those things make or break their getting to know onw another? I could not stop turning the pages as Soraya allowed Graham into her life and Graham kept coming back for more Soraya. There was sizzle, angst, definitely romance, and lots of surprises! This is my first Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward book and I will definitely be reading more!!!

Check, Please!, Book 2: Sticks and Scones by Ngozi Ukazu

Check, Please!, Book 2: Sticks & SconesCheck, Please!, Book 2: Sticks & Scones by Ngozi Ukazu
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this 2nd book in the Check, Please series! Bitty is a junior and on the Samwell Hockey team and his love, Jack Zimmerman (fellow Samwell alum) has been drafted onto an NCAA men's hockey team, but despite it all, they keep their love alive with phone calls and texts, come out to family and friends, go to school, bake and play hockey. I just love the story, the characters, the illustrations in this 2nd & final graphic novel showing a real relationship between Bitty and Jack. It was the best story concerning friendship, acceptance, and relationships (romantic, family). I loved all the characters, their stories, the ice hockey, the baking---just a great great graphic novel series!

I loved this graphic novel about 2 guys in a British boys high school! Charlie is a levl 10, out and gay (the year before he was outed and bullied) still kissing a mean guy (Ben, I think) who has a girl friend and sends mean texts. When Charlie is paired with Nick, a year 11 rugby player, they quickly become friends--- while Nick, protects Charlie from Ben a few times. As Charlie falls for nice guy Nick, how does Nick feel? Loved this graphic novel so much, I have Vol 2 & 3 on order at the public library!!! Can't wait!

Entangled Pursuits (Men of Action, Book 1) by Brenda Jackson

ENTANGLED PURSUITS (MEN OF ACTION Book 1)ENTANGLED PURSUITS by Brenda Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am so glad to see this great new series from Brenda Jackson! I will certainly be looking forward to more Men of Action books!!! We find out Toni and Drew dated for almost 10 months until Toni broke it off. At a wedding 5 years later both find they can't stop thinking about the time before, Andrew angry and Toni sad. Move forward to Virginia where Drew works as a detective and finds his new partner is none other than Toni, OMG! How will this work out?!? I could not put this book down, until I found out every last juicy detail about Toni and Drew, past and present and what I liked best is that Andrew was in prison with Shepp from the Granger series and the Protectors series, and Toni is college friends with one of Shepp's other prisoners wives! There is mystery, romance, honesty, and true love! I can't wait for the next book!!!

Many thanks to Mary McGrath and her mom for recommending this awesome historical fiction book, I read it in 2 days, could not put it down! I am definitely going to read her other books as well, The Traitor's Wife is next! I loved the story of Desiree and Josephine, Napoleon's machinations, and the lush times they found themselves in France. Pataki's eye for detail, historical significance, as well as penning a darn good story will have many readers thoroughly enjoying this sizzling historical novel!

This was a DNF, I could not get into the whole Biltmore Hotel and all the famous people; I was uninterested in the WEALTH, the people, and there really was no epic story of love so I did not Finish this audiobook, read by the author.

The Huntress by Kate Quinn

The HuntressThe Huntress by Kate Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Excellently narrated by Saskia Maarleveld (loved all of her voices both male and female!!!), thanks so much to Pat Graham for recommending The Alice Network and then others telling me I must read The Huntress. OMG, it was 18 hours long and I still did not want it to end. I was thoroughly invested in the story, the characters, the suspense and Kate Quinn delivered! Written back and forth between WWII and years later in Boston and narrated back and forth by Ian, Nina and Jordan, Ian and Tony are hunting for a cool, heartless killer (the Huntress) who shot Polish children and Tony's brother after befriending them and feeding them. Jordan's dad has fallen for Anna and her daughter Ruth, proposing marriage. Nina's story was thoroughly crazy, Russian Dad who tried to drown her, crazy pilot skills and "family" of sisters she flies with. The hunt for the huntress was full of suspense, psychological daring do, lots of angst and the way these characters lived and breathed made me fall in love with them all, except the bad ones! This is a must read for any who love WWII stories, Holocaust stories, and the hunt for justice after the Holocaust!
