Thank you to Jennifer LaGarde @jenniferlagarde for recommending this middle grade novel in verse by the spectacular K. A. Holt, novel in verse queen! Kate and Tam have always gone to the same school but it is in 7th grade that they notice each other, become friends, and find out who they really are (except Tam has always known who she is) and if their friendship can surmount obstacles. I also really liked Holt's Author Notes at the end! A must read!
