Collared (Andy Carpenter, #16) by David Rosenfelt

Collared (Andy Carpenter, #16)Collared by David Rosenfelt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this latest audiobook, awesomely narrated by Grover Gardner! A dog tied to the Foundation's door sets off this legal thriller with Andy's humor and sarcasm. There is dog DNA, real DNA, murder, a drug lord, and Andy representing someone for $1.00. I loved the "Pod Hike" appearance in this book, too.

Leader of the Pack (Andy Carpenter, #10)Leader of the Pack by David Rosenfelt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is definitely a whodunit and one Andy gets sucked into when an old case he lost rears its ugly head again. Andy has continued to stay in touch visiting convicted killer, Joey Desimone in jail. When he asks Andy to check in on his uncle, things begin to spiral when Joey's uncle is murdered after a visit by Andy and his dog, Tara. Will Andy get the chance to get Joey a new trial? Another suspenseful, hysterical read in the Andy Carpenter series!

Andy does need or want another client but when he hears Noah Galloway admit to the crime, then talks to his wife who convinces him this cold case needs investigation, this case jumps into killing after killing to try to keep the truth from getting out & the cover up from being exposed. Another great Andy Carpenter mystery you must read!

Dog Tags (Andy Carpenter, #8)Dog Tags by David Rosenfelt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this Andy Carpenter mystery because Milo, a German Shepherd is a highly trained dog that Andy ends up representing. His owner is in jail and the reader soon finds that both the owner & Milo are in danger. I love Willie who runs the Tara Foundation, Laurie & Marcus & especially Andy because he is so funny, spineless, but the best lawyer to those he defends. I can't wait to read #9!!!

Her Deadly Game by Robert Dugoni

Her Deadly GameHer Deadly Game by Robert Dugoni
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG, this latest Robert Dugoni detective and courtroom mystery was so suspenseful! I loved Keera Duggan, her dysfunctional family which has been forever altered due to her father's life long alcoholism. Keera catches a case where she represents the husband who is accused of killing his wife. I loved the way Dugoni unfolded the story through the chess game, the mysterious Mr. Worth who leads her to many people who grew up/knew the accused who is a multi-millionaire investment advisor, her father's missteps, and her ambition to show up the prosecutor. It definitely was like a game of chess with each move calculated keeping the reader on pins and needles. You never meet the murdered wife, but the title, Her Deadly Game was perfect in so many ways. Readers will enjoy wading into this juicy mystery. An awesome crime thriller!

The Bone House (Cab Bolton, #1) by Brian Freeman

The Bone House (Cab Bolton, #1)The Bone House by Brian Freeman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a great new series by Brian Freeman; I loved detective Cab Bolton with his many intimacy issues, but he was astute enough to listen to Hilary Bradley about her much maligned husband. With a murder taking place in his Florida, Cab Bolton decides to follow his suspects back to their home in an isolated Michigan town. With the town sheriff against him, Cab begins to interview and uncover a vast web of deceit, murder, and crimes. I was blown away by the ending, never saw that coming! This book had a superb, spine tingling plot, normal and broken characters, and a suspenseful story that kept me turning the pages. Going to get the next Cab Bolton on my kindle to read in this corona virus quarantine period of our lives!

I love Robert Dugoni's legal thrillers; the mystery is gripping, I just keep turning the pages, loving David Sloane and Jenkins and the way my heart beats as I read at break neck speed to find out how this mystery ends and the courtroom with judge, jury and Sloane doing what he is the best at. Can't wait to jump into #3!!!
